Can't make an appointment with the Genious Bar?!

I needed to bring my PowerBook to a Genius Bar, which is an in-store tech support. I called the nearby Apple store, and was told that they don't take appointments over the phone. I was told to make an appointment online. Okay, my PowerBook has a power failure, and does not boot up. How could I make an appointment online!? Fortunately, I have more than one personal computers, and made an appointment with a Genius Bar. But I know some people who have only one computer, doesn't have friends with Internet connection to ask a favor, and doesn't know an Internet cafe or such places. What are they supposed to do?!

I was at the Genius Bar in the nearby Apple store and saw a lady rejected by a Genius guy behind the bar counter. She didn't have an appointment. She was told to go to one of the Mac computers in the store to make an appointment. I saw two Genius guys available just waiting for no one. It was a bad service. He could have bent the rule a bit and helped her out.

Sometimes all the slots are taken within the next few hours, and your earliest appointment is a few hours away. If you couldn't make an appointment online because your Mac didn't start up, and you didn't have any access to Apple's web site, you decide to directly come to a Genius Bar and ask for help, and end up with waiting for a few hours on busy days. Apple, you should do something about this!
