Persimmon pickingI went persimmon picking for the first time about
a month ago. The ranch that I went to was in the Santa Cruz mountains. It was
so good. We had several kinds of persimmons, but I didn't really care which one
I was picking. We didn't have Fuyu, but I wasn't disappointed at all. Some of
the persimmons there were astringent and had a lot of fibers. I was told we'd
have to wait until it gets ripped. Otherwise, fibers will pile up in our body
and someday we will have to have it removed by surgery. That'd be
bad.
