Bonfire at the Santa Cruz beach


Last weekend, I went to the Santa Cruz beach and did a bonfire with friends.
It was one of the things that I wanted to do in the US.
We made yakiimo, which was really good. We also brought marshmallows.

It's kind of sad that we have rules that alcohol is banned on the beach and the beach is only open till 10PM.

The beginning of the New Year


A Happy New Year!
May the new year the most happiest year for all of you. Let's make it so!

I was watching the NHK's Kouhaku Utagassen last night, and was so surprised with the back dancers of DJ OZMA. NHK seems to have changed a lot. NHK is a TV station owned and operated by the government. The future of Japan was there!

Christmas Decorations in San Jose Downtown


I stopped by at San Jose Downtown to see the Christmas decoration and found this event. There were Ferris wheels, a merry-go-round, and a few other things. There also were a lot of Christmas trees made by schools, office people, and so on.

Pumpkins for Halloween decoration


Halloween was yesterday, but I found this picture in my iPhoto, and decided to post it here. In the US, pumpkins for Halloween are sold everywhere in this time of the year. If we go to a country side, we see pumpkins are sold at farms.

I haven't really felt it is year 2006 yet. Maybe I'd need to turn on TV and watch some new year celebration programs. A few people asked about my 2006 resolution. I don't have any for year 2006.
