The passionate driving pleasure, that's what we are pursuing...

Impression

Including the round trip to Los Angels, I have driven about 2400 miles already. When the car goes at 80MPH or more, I could feel it really sticks to the road, and the front is pressed down. On twisty mountain roads, it goes fast at tight corners as the Rear-Active-Stir system kicks in. It is 4-wheel-stir, originally called Super HICAS, which was put in the Skyline GT-R. The weight of the car is 300 pounds heavier than the IS300, which I used to mainly drive. I can fee the extra weight, but I also feel the G35 has lower center of gravity. I am excited to find out the potential of this car.

Talking about the power plant, the engine that puts out 260 lbs/ft and 298 HP really kick the real driving wheels. It is disappointing that the stock tires are not as sticky as the ones on the IS now, and they skid easily.

The engine reves up nice, but I slightly feel that the inline 6 engine in the IS300 goes up more smothly to the red line. It is a fact that I6 engines are smoother than V6 engines. Still, the V6 engine in the G35 revs up nice when I do heal-and-toe.

It is a fun car, and I think I can enjoy it for a long time.
